Gabriel Renteria received his Bachelor of Music degree from the Oberlin Conservatory where he studied with James Caldwell. He went on to do graduate work at the University of Washington and the Colburn Conservatory where he was a student of Nathan Hughes and Alan Vogel. Gabriel has played with the Seattle Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and the Chicago Symphony. He is currently the Principal Oboe and Artist-in-Residence with the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra and recently joined the faculty of Albion College as the Adjunct Professor of Oboe.
