Paul has studied percussion at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo Valley Community College, and Columbia College of Chicago. He was the Kalamazoo Guitar Center Drum Off champion in 2004 and 2010. He has performed with The Civic Theater of Grand Rapids, Mercury Theater of Chicago, the Center Stage Theater and the Paw Paw Village Playhouse.
