Cynthia has been a school-based music therapist for the last 10 years, working with students ages 3-26 with cognitive, physical, and emotional impairments. Prior to working in the school setting she worked extensively in long-term care and psychiatric settings, currently in Allegan County.
She has a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University and has worked as a music therapist for 20+ years. She has mentored music therapy interns and currently supervises undergraduate music therapy students at Western Michigan University. She received her master’s degree in music therapy in December 2014.
Cynthia lives in Vicksburg with my husband Todd and youngest son Alex. Her oldest son is in his first year of film school. Cynthia loves that she has a job where she gets to sing and make music every day. Someone recently asked if she ever get tired of singing to which she responded with a resounding “no, of course not!”
