April 1, 2016 – Crescendo has recently launched a fundraising campaign for Community Voices. This program offers musical experiences to teens and adults with mental and/or physical challenges. Participants experience singing, chanting, drumming and making music in a non-competitive atmosphere where the reward is the pleasure of making music with others.
Enrollment has been growing and so has the excitement for the program, both from participants and anyone who has had the opportunity to see them perform. Our goal for this fundraiser is to raise $3,500, which will fund Community Voices for a full semester. Costs for this program include instructors, a music therapist, and practice space. Keeping this program accessible is important to Crescendo, which is why participants only pay $30 per 12-week session. These fees pay for a portion of the program while the rest is funded by Crescendo and our generous donors.
If you would like to help make Community Voices a program that will continue in perpetuity, please consider donating to our campaign. A donation of any amount will help us reach our goal of offering musical experiences to those with mental and/or physical challenges.
