BAM: Black American Music Ensemble
Led by jazz musicians Jesse Lemons, trumpet, and Zollie Schut, percussion, topics covered will include Black American Music repertoire and history, beginning/intermediate Improvisation, and rehearsal/performance etiquette. Students will develop self-confidence and musicality as they work together as a group.
A minimum of one year of private lessons or school ensemble experience is required; all instruments are welcome. For ages 13 and up.
Thursdays, 5:30-6:30 pm; September 10 – December 3.
The fall session will end with a performance on the December 4th Art Hop.
