Crescendo Academy of Music has several opportunities for group music classes available. Minimum enrollment must be met for a class to be held. Classes may be joined late if space is available.
Crescendo Academy of Music has several opportunities for group music classes available. Minimum enrollment must be met for a class to be held. Classes may be joined late if space is available.

Led by the prolific local composer Cameron Hachigian, in this composition class students will experience the joy of creation in music. The course will cover basic music literacy concepts and an introduction to writing for one instrument.
This class is available to anyone who desires to create. We suggest students be at least 12 years old with a minimum of three years of private lesson study (or teacher recommendation).

$150.00 per 10-week session

These classes provide violin and viola students enrolled in private lessons with the opportunity to review pieces they have learned in an ensemble setting. Students will be placed in a class based on skill level. A variety of activities will be covered, including warm-up exercises, note reading, scale studies, and weekly performance opportunities. Students must be currently enrolled in private lessons at Crescendo.

Performance class: $20 per 60-minute class

This introductory class focuses on basic skills and techniques for playing ukulele with an emphasis on having fun while learning. Instruction includes proper playing position, reading ukulele music and tablature, and commonly played chords and rhythms.

Designed for students who want to learn in a small group setting, this class introduces the basics of acoustic guitar technique and music reading. Students must provide their own instrument.
