Christine Taylor

Piano / Voice

Christine is a multi-faceted musician, having begun piano studies at age five, violin at nine, flute at twelve, and voice at sixteen. In 2009 she graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance under the tutelage of Linda Mabbs, soprano. She has sung as a professional chorister in the Middle East, Great Britain, South America, and the United States with notable orchestras such as the National Symphony Orchestra and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, with whom she has sung twice yearly from 2008 until 2022. As a soprano soloist she has sung oratorio works and art song recitals throughout the United States. During the pandemic in 2020 she began her own YouTube channel of service music, hymns, and other music for use in online church services at Christ Episcopal Church, Kensington, MD.

In 2021 she began graduate studies in music at the University of Maryland, studying organ with Dr. Theodore Guerrant. While in Maryland she worked in the Administrative Office, School of Music, University of Maryland, maintained a teaching studio of piano and voice students for 21 years, and was soloist/soprano section leader for the choir of Christ Episcopal Church, Kensington, MD. She now resides in Benton Harbor, MI and teaches voice and piano, and plays services for St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, St. Joseph, MI.
