Shannon Scoles
Shannon Scoles earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Hillsdale College and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Western Michigan University. A Crescendo Teaching Artist since 2002, Shannon also teaches Aural Skills at Western Michigan University and at Seminar Music Camp at WMU each summer. She has previously taught applied voice at WMU and Aural Skills at Kalamazoo College. During the summer she is also an instructor for Epic Broadway Musical Theater Camp, a collaborative summer camp organized by Crescendo Academy of Music and Wellspring/Cori Terry and Dancers.
Shannon appeared as a featured vocal soloist with the Balalaika and Domra Association of America (traditional Russian orchestra), and was a NATSAA (National Association of Teachers of Singing Artist Award) winner for the state of Michigan in 2010.
She lives in Kalamazoo with her husband, two sons, puppies Banner and Anabelle, and a tortoise named Sir Mathias Crabby-Appleton.
