Crescendo Academy of Music provides private and group instruction for instrumental and vocal music to students throughout southwest Michigan. Through scholarships, an instrument loan program, and more, we make music accessible to everyone. Our music lessons and classes are taught by professional teaching artists and performers who are dedicated to every students’ musical growth and enjoyment.

Closed for in-person classes and lessons, MONDAY, JANUARY 19

Due to the weather, Crescendo is closed JANUARY 18 for IN-PERSON lessons and classes. IF YOU STILL WANT A PRIVATE LESSON, please contact your instructor or the office (information@crescendoacademy.com).

As a reminder, Crescendo follows Kalamazoo Public Schools for weather-related closures.

Community Voices Winter Session Enrollment is Open

Enrollment is open for the winter session of Community Voices, an ensemble for adults with intellectual and developmental differences.

BAM: Black American Music Ensemble
December 8, 2025

Led by jazz musicians Jesse Lemons, trumpet, and Zollie Schut, percussion, topics covered will include Black American Music repertoire and history, beginning/intermediate Improvisation, and rehearsal/performance etiquette.
